Privacy Policy

Prophecy Alive is a read-only, public dashboard. Visitors do not create accounts, and we do not ask you for personal information to view the content.

• Administrator account— the Service has a single private admin login used to curate content. It stores only the administrator’s email and authentication credentials.
• Mailing list — if, and only if, you choose to subscribe to the weekly email, we store the email address you give us, the date you subscribed, the date you confirmed, and the date you unsubscribed (if you do), together with random tokens that make your confirmation and unsubscribe links work. Nothing else. See The weekly email below.
• Technical data — standard server and request logs (such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested) generated automatically when any website is visited. We use these to operate, secure, and understand the health of the Service.

The world-event data shown on the dashboard comes from public and third-party sources (such as the U.S. Geological Survey) and is not personal data about you.

We use the limited data described above to run and secure the Service and to let the administrator publish content. We do not sell your data, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not build advertising or tracking profiles of visitors.

Subscribing is entirely optional — the dashboard is free to read with no account and no email address. If you do subscribe:

• What we store — your email address; whether it is pending, confirmed or unsubscribed; the timestamps of those steps; which form you signed up from (we record only that it was the signup block on this site); when we last sent you a confirmation email (so the form cannot be used to flood your inbox); and two random tokens, one for your confirmation link and one for your unsubscribe link. We do not store your name, your location, or anything else, and we do not track whether you open or click.
• Confirmation is required (double opt-in) — we send exactly one email asking you to confirm, and confirming takes a deliberate button press on our site, so that an automated scanner following the link cannot confirm you by accident. Until you press it, your address receives nothing further from us. If someone enters your address by mistake or mischief, simply ignoring that email is enough.
• What we send— one digest each week (Sundays) with the week’s newly published, sourced items. If a week brings nothing new, we send nothing at all. We do not send advertising, and we do not email you on behalf of anyone else.
• How to leave — every email carries a one-click unsubscribe link that needs no login and takes effect immediately. We keep a record that your address unsubscribed, precisely so that we do not email it again; if you would rather we erase the record entirely, email us and we will delete the row.
• We never sell or share it — your address is used for the weekly email and for nothing else. It is not sold, rented, or passed to anyone but the email provider named below that delivers the message on our behalf.

To protect the signup form from abuse, we briefly count recent signup attempts per IP address in the server’s memory. These counters are transient and are not stored in our database.

We rely on a small number of trusted providers to run the Service:

• Supabase — database hosting and administrator authentication.
• Vercel — application hosting, delivery, and standard request logging.
• Resend — delivery of the confirmation email and the weekly digest. Your address is passed to Resend only so that it can deliver those emails to you.

Standard technical logs are retained only as long as needed to operate and secure the Service. The administrator account is retained for as long as the Service is maintained. A mailing-list record is kept while you are subscribed and, after you unsubscribe, only as the record of that unsubscribe — so we do not email you again — until you ask us to delete it.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over any personal data we hold — to access it, correct it, or have it erased. Visitors who do not subscribe provide us with no personal information at all. If you are on the mailing list, you can remove yourself at any time with the unsubscribe link in any email, and you can email us to have your address erased outright. To ask a question or exercise a right, email us and we will respond within a reasonable time.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
